To download a chapter click on its number. Viewing or printing requires
an Adobe Acrobat Reader which you can download
free. Once installed following the easy instructions supplied on-screen
automatically, pdf files like those listed below containing the course
text which substitutes for lectures can then be viewed or printed within
Netscape. If you are short of RAM to hold a whole pdf file, or would like
to save directly to a disk drive, click on the chapter number with the
right mouse button. Then select the "save this link as . . ." option
with the left mouse button, and when the next menu appears, select the
drive on your computer (c:, a:, etc.) you would prefer to hold the downloaded
file.

If you are at home, save the files to C:\Windows\Temp\ (If you are using Windows 3.1, you may have to first create Temp as a subdirectory of the directory Windows using File Manager.)
Now run these programs (in this order; closing down all programs,
including Netscape, before running the third of them, setup.exe) to
decompress and then install
the files:
