SPMC, its students, and staff have been the recipients of numerous national, regional, and local awards, including the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Math and Engineering Mentoring that was awarded to SPMC Director Stephen Sulkin by President George W. Publications

An important part of the scientific process is ensuring that high-quality research results are made available to others in the field. To ensure the quality of work, research findings must undergo review by other experts in the field before they are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
