Be A Peer Advisor
These are students who are Communication majors who have extensive knowledge about the Communication Department. This includes, but is not limited to; course requirements, major/minor requirements, and internships. Peer Advisors are located in College CF 203 and hold office hours between 9-5 Monday-Friday. A schedule is posted on the office door, along with precise hours and names of the advisors in at that hour. Peer Advisors are not available during finals week.

Comm Club Officer
Get involved in Comm Club by becoming an officer. There are many positions available, co-president, newsletter editor, webmaster, community service coordinator, events coordinator, promotions coordinator or finance officer.

NWCA Conference
If you have a communication related paper that you're particularly proud of, consider submitting it to the NWCA conference (deadline is in Feb of each year). Your paper could win awards which can be great for resumes or grad school apps. The conference is a lot of fun; there is a banquet, a boat trip around the lake, and social events where you can meet other students. Most participants are undergraduates and graduate students.
