Accreditation at Western

This self-study was prepared as part of Western's application for re-accreditation by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges' Commission on Colleges. It describes the campus and its educational programs and activities during 1997, the study year. More than 100 members of the campus community -- students, staff, faculty and administrators -- contributed sections.

The Final Evaluation Committee Report which was written and submitted by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges' Commission on Colleges assessment team, has been added to this web site. Update 4/28/2003  -   WWU is scheduled to prepare a regular fifth-year interim accreditation report and host a visit by a representative of the Northwest Association of Schools and of Colleges and Universities: Commission on Colleges and Universities in spring 2003. The regular fifth-year interim report and evaluation are very important parts of the accreditation process, permitting both the institution and the Commission on Colleges and Universities to monitor the institution’s ongoing efforts to meet its mission and goals, as well as the Commission’s standards for accreditation. To view the University’s report, please click on Fifth-Year Interim Accreditation Report. A related table is located at WWU Strategic Action Summary.
