Mission Statement
BikeWestern is a volunteer Western student, staff, and faculty organization dedicated to effectively increasing bicycle commuting and safety by:
· providing information and support to current and future bicycle commuters
· acting as the hub for
bicycle-related activities
· supporting trip reduction programs such as Bike to Work/School Day and the Smart Commuter Program
· coordinating
efforts to integrate campus planning with bicycle commuters' needs
· reducing the demand on Western's parking facilities
· reducing environmental damage from automobiles
