Week one: Osmosis
What's due:
Post-lab: Answer the post lab questions in COMPLETE sentence format.
Turn in the tables of raw data as well as the graphs and post-lab questions.
Include a couple sentences each for your observations to procedures 1 and
2
Quiz: understand the terms in the glossary on page 14 (ie related to solutions and diffusion), BE SURE to understand the princibles of osmosis, including hypertonic, hypotonic, and isotonic (relative to solutions inside or outside the cell), and which direction WATER moves across a cell's selectively permeable membrane (know the drawing examples I gave in the intro).
Week two: Microscope one

the classification system for biological organisms (taxonomy)
how the organisms are classified? what characterisitcs of the organism is used (i.e. the importance of genetics)?
Cell biology of the two kingdoms we saw in lab last week (mainly protista)
