CALL FOR PAPERS FOR THE 2006 EDITION OF
The Northwest Journal of Business
and Economics*
(*submission dates and
requirements are also subject to change)
With the assistance of other
regional researchers, Western Washington University has developed this medium
for publishing applied business and economic research concerning the Pacific
Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Alaska,
Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, and Alberta). We are interested in receiving well-written
and timely papers from individuals in each of these geographic areas for
possible publication. The focus of the
publication is original completed research that has application to
academicians, researchers, business persons and public policy makers within the
broad areas of business and economics.
Because of our unique geographical and international setting, readers of
the
Northwest Journal of Business and Economics have a strong interest in
the northwest states, Western Canada, and Pacific Rim trends and
developments. Thus, the publication is
primarily interested in regional issues with clear implications for the
Northwest.
This is a multi-disciplinary
publication. Contributions are sought
from all functional areas of business (marketing,
management, finance, accounting, decision sciences, operations research and economics) and from other disciplines
as long as the material is business or economics oriented. Papers of a technical nature should be
thoughtfully written so that the overall issues and conclusions are
understandable to the general educated reader.
Submitted papers should be no longer than 20 pages double-spaced type
(including tables and graphs). Student
papers must include sponsorship and letter of recommendation from a faculty
person. See attached criteria for
submitted papers.
Important Note: Because the Northwest Journal of Business and
Economics is published annually, we set a closing date for papers
submitted for the next year’s edition.
