The WWU NSSLHA
chapter is advised by
Dr. Kimberly Peters,
Ph.D. of the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Annually, undergraduate students elect new officers to administer
the chapter program, create and administer fundraisers, contribute
donations, initialize community events, and much more.
NSSLHA,
National Student Speech Language Hearing Association was established
in 1972 and is the national organization for undergraduate and graduate
students pursuing the study of disordered and nondisordered human
communication.
NSSLHA is the only official national student
association recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
(ASHA). NSSLHA has over 13,000 members with chapters in more than
285 colleges & universities.
