L 503: Survey of Linguistics (Summer Session)
This is a summer intensive introduction to linguistics for graduate students. Students from a variety of disciplines, such as Education, Philosophy, and Psychology, are enrolled. Students with no prior training in linguistics also take this course during the summer before majoring in linguistics in Graduate School. This class meets three times a week, 90 minutes each ("officially" twice for lecture and once for problem solving; however, when I teach, discussion, problem solving, and lecture are all interwoven as integral parts of each class meeting).
