I chose to use comic art for my web topic because it has long been a close hobby of mine. I also thought that it would be well suited for a web page due to the sheer abundance of pictures and references that could be coupled with the site. For an assignment such as this it should yield more then enough sources and to complete the website fast and efficiently.

Comic Book art and literature has long since been seen as a childish device for youths and immature minds. This prevailing thought has shadow the wide world of the entire comic medium. This ideology could not be further from the truth. The medium as a whole is so vast that comics can and have covered every issue under the sun. People have a common disposition that comics are Just! about overly dramatic, hokey, one dimensionally, strength endowed, super heroes, but that simply isn't the truth. At the base of the entire concept of comics lays the principle definition; a medium to showcase any story or literature through or with pictures and images. That is the genius of comics, they are a conductor for imagination and creativity. My emphasis happens to be focused on the art, and hopefully once my web page is traversed you will look on comics with the same amazement that I see them.
