Floyd J. McKay is emeritus professor and former chair of the Department of Journalism at Western Washington University. He retired in June 2004, but returned for fall quarter to teach two classes. McKay is a veteran journalist with experience in both print and broadcast. He joined the Western faculty in 1990 and was chair of the department from 1994 to 2002. He is currently engaged in freelance writing and research and lives in Bellingham, Wash.
