WELCOME!
Welcome to the Western Washington University chapter of IEEE.
IEEE is the 'Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers', which is an
international organization
unifying engineers worldwide.
MISSION STATEMENT:
It is our goal to provide a structured learning environment for practical
applications to an Electronics degree. Our primary focus is academic success,
which includes offering a tutoring service to those seeking help in the electronics
field.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone can be a member of the IEEE A.S. (Asociated Students) Club, but members are
strongly encouraged to join the international club as well. The group mainly caters to
Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Science, and Physics students, providing help and projects that follow the
current coursework.
WHY JOIN?
The club focuses on exploring technology in the workplace. Group trips are planned
to allow students to see engineers in a real work environment. These trips allow Engineering Technology
students to see what kind of work they can expect to do with their degree. The IEEE is
also an enourmous resource for tutoring and study groups. Since electronics tutors are
not available in the tutoring center, the IEEE can be a huge help.
