Cherry Point Region Risk Assessment Resources

Cherry Point Reach Regional Risk Assessments

Since 2001 the Insitute has has conducted several research programs related to the Cherry Point area. The method used for regional risk assessment was developed at the Institute and a manual is available at the link below.

In 2005 we completed our research managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources. The report is available below.

Book Chapters

There are several book chapters that are not availble as .pdf files that cover aspects of the Cherry Point risk assessment story. The WWU library has a copy of the book, and if requested we can supply paper copies of the chapters.

Risk Assesssment for European Green Crab at Cherry Point

Our risk assessment framework for invasives was tested using the European Green Crab and Sargassum as test invasives at Cherry Point, WA. After this initial testing the risk assessment framework was applied to the Asian Oyster within the Chesapeake Bay and the Nunn Moth in the Mid-Atlantic States. The results of the risk assessment on the European Green Crab have been published. and the full EPA project report is available below for downloading.
