- Fri. 6-8:00pm, Sat. 8-9:30am at Carver Main Gym.
- Please present your individual judo organizations membership card,
i.e. USJI, USJF, USJA, Judo Canada, etc., during registration.
- Schedule:
- Kata start: 9:00am
Referees meeting: 9:30am
Junior shiai start: 10:00am
Seniors/Masters report: Noon.
Note: Seniors/Masters must still register before 9:30am.
- Rules:
- Modified double elimination. Jr. matches 3min., Sr. matches 4min.. IJF rules with
modifications. Juniors 12 and under cannot use chokes or armbars. Contestants 13-16
years old cannot use armbars. If there are 3 people or less in a division
the tournament directors may move those competitors to an appropriate age/weight
division. The contestants and/or coaches will be notified. Mat size may be
reduced to pre-1994 competition area size.
Traditional bowing on and off the competition and contest area will be
respected and expected.

Standard IJF weight classes will be used for all senior divisions depending upon the number
of entries. Awards given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
MASTERS (40yr +) Dependant upon entries. All masters contestants will be informed of weight division.
- Nage No Kata Divisions:
- Mixed couples acceptable in all divisions. Kata competition based on merit.
A grand champion will be determined by the judges committee and the tournament
director. Available divisions will be Junior, Senior Novice, and Senior Advanced.
- Entry Fees:
- Shiai:Jr. $10 US/$12 CAN, Sr. & Masters $12 US/$15 CAN entries must be
postmarked by Jan. 25, 1997 or before to avoid a late fee. Phone/Fax registration
allowed up to Jan. 30, 1997 and Online/Email registration allowed
up to Jan. 29, 1997 to avoid a late fee. The late fee is $20 US/$25 CAN.
Kata: $5 per team.
