      NOMENCLATURE: Our corporate name reflects a desire to place the customer at the center of our thoughts and databases and at the same time flatter the customer's narcissistic side. We want to know everything about our customers so that we can help them achieve homogeneity in the image of Me-Mart.

      Me-Mart is a splice of meme, a unit of cultural replication with the word art. It is also read as a first person pronoun, me, mixed with the word mart, a generic short form of the word market used whenever a big store wants to appropriate the patina of smallness.

      THE LOGO: The logo is designed to emphasize the customer (mark) as the center of attention. The E is underlined for reading emphasis. The word Mart is italicized to make the company look both exciting and dynamic but generic at the same time.
