Comment Grading Criteria
0.0 = No comment on memo, No name on memo, No rank given for
memo.
1.0 = Minimal effort. (i.e. Great memo, you followed the format)
- The comment is not legible.
2.0 = Less than required effort.
The comment reflects that the memo was read thoroughly.
The comment should include at least one specific example from the memo.
3.0 = Required effort.
- Comment is free of unnecessary value judgements.
- Comment sites specific examples from the memo.
- Comment is well written.
- Comment asks questions of the memo author.
- The author of the comment graded according to the memo and how well it communicates, not
on what the author did that week.
4.0 = Extra effort.
- Comment offers examples on how to implement the advice it gives.
- These examples are written out (i.e. This sentence would read better like this:
)
- Comment author displays having read the memo numerous times.
5.0 = Extra Special effort.
All of the above requirements are met.
Special insight is included on how the author may write a better memo.
The comment goes above and beyond what you would expect.
