Goals For Last Week:

What I Did:

  1. I met at Aaron’s house.
  1. attempted to further our understanding of the XB program and our duties as the communications group.
  2. Planned presentation, rehearsed presentation.

 

What I Learned:

  1. I learned that in the XB program, we should expect to experience new styles of teaching and learning.
  2. The communications group is responsible for the collection and distribution of weekly memos, and of grading the comments on the memos.
  3. Reviewing last quarter’s web page provided valuable tips for building our own class web page.

 

 

 

Goals For Next Week:

  1. Setup the database for tracking of memos and their comments.
  2. Distribute a copy of this sample memo to all members of the XB organization.
  3. Prepare a short follow up presentation on the memo and commenting process.
  4. Develop the class web page further.

This memo is too concise. You need more examples of what you did to accomplish your goals. You didn’t say whether or not you accomplished the email goal or not. If you didn’t, you need to explain the circumstances.

This is a good attempt for your first memo. The bulleted lists allow for easy reading and communicate your ideas quite effectively. However, I think you should attempt to use complete sentences wherever possible. Expand on your goals and ideas. If you are going to develop the class web page further, what steps are involved? Your memo will benefit from expanding your goals to include a brief explanation of the steps involved where possible. When you are writing the sections on what you did and learned, try to emphasize how your goals affected you.
