Goals for Last Week:
What I Did:
I collected all of the assignments that people turned in to me. As a group we graded and recorded them. We had a group meeting where this all took place. We took turns reading them aloud and gave them a score that we felt was appropriate. I found it hard to complete my second goal since I never heard a reading assignment in class. I was away for the weekend, so I was not able check the web page, but I will do this before class on Wednesday. I felt a little pressed for time on the homework, there was so many assignments due on the same day, that I was confused and I feel that I didn't do them as well as I could have done. I do understand the concepts that the communications group taught, but I do not know if we are suppose to use them. I don't know if we are suppose to post our memos as html or not, it's still very confusing.
What I Learned:
This week I learned that things are still not running smoothly in XB. I thought that by now all of the problems would be worked out and things would be flowing smoothly. I also noticed that many groups made assignments due on Wednesday, which made it hard to complete them fully. The assignment that the staffing group gave is still unclear to me, I am not sure if we are to do it as a group or individually. Sometimes a class like this can be frustrating because there are 13 groups who all have a certain idea about how things should run, and when we do not all work as a group, those ideas never fully get explored. For example, I remember someone in class standing up and telling everyone, that if their groups assignment was not handed to them, and not posted on the web, then it would not count and no one would be held responsible for it. This sounds like a good idea, but it should have been told to us before the day that the last groups were to perform. So as of this time, I do not know if our groups assignment is even going to be counted.
