XB Organization Meeting

January 25, 1999

  1. Meeting came to order at 2:00 PM, facilitated by the Directing Group.

  2. Informal Group:

  3. Attendance policy given as follows:

    1. Attendance = 6% of your grade

    2. Attendance is taken daily and you are given 4 points for the week. 1 point will be deducted for excused absences and 2 points will be deducted for unexcused absences.

  4. Reading assignment for Wednesday: -- XB Manual p. 158 and pgs. 161-163

  5. Formal Group:

    6. 1. Broke us up into our reading groups for introductions.

    2. Reading assignment for Wednesday:-- XB Manual pgs. 200-212

  6. Staffing Group: Change in the grading of the Peer Evaluations. Lose .5 every time you do not turn it in.

  7. Group Group:

    8. 1. Tracking Participation and Behavior template passed out to group heads. Each group to fill out sheet once a week.

    2. Results of survey passed back.

  8. Planning Group:

    9. Let John know if you have something for all XB members to do. He will be working with Communications to keep a calendar on the web.

  9. Broke out into individual groups for the remaining class period.
