Minimum Requirements -- Half of the points are gained by providing the following things:
Timeline – linked to progress report setting a schedule of tasks and students assigned to each
Progress Report -- Discussion of what has been accomplished, on-going, and remains to be done in some depth
List of annotated research materials (readings, data, interviews…) demonstrating progress
Specific points (the rest of the points are gained by how well you have met the following criteria

Draft
Draft of your Introductory paragraph answering issues such as what, how, where, when…
Is the stated focus neither to broad nor to narrow or again is more work required?
Sketch of poster layout – what will be contained and where.
Do the materials provided (Intro, sketch, and progress report) demonstrate adequate development and focus the study?
Do the materials demonstrate that an adequate framework is being created to pursue the study? Or has a framework yet to be developed?
Does the progress report and draft layout adequately explore the issue of how to obtain, use and display data, maps, interviews, or information that will be needed in order to execute the study?
Does a clear geographic component of the study emerge from the materials based on the progress report? That is, is it clear that space and location have a central role to play in this study?
Do the materials demonstrate that the border or borderland is clearly an important factor in the study? As a course on borderlands does the study fit this theme?
Reference and other
supporting materials
Does the list demonstrate adequate breadth and depth of information to accomplish the study? Or is it too narrowly/too broadly focused?
Are complete citations provided for the materials?
Are annotations provided describing the content available in each reference?
