Credit and Clock Hours
National Storytelling Conference 2005

Clock hours and academic credit is available for conference and pre-conference attendance through Western Washington University's Extended Education and Summer Programs office.


Academic Credit
A 1-3 credit option course is being offered for conference attendees.  This course will cater to students in any field of study as well as continuing education credits for educators.
This course will include, 1) readings in the field of storytelling and oral tradition, 2) full conference attendance, and 3) practical project to be completed by August or November 2005.

Title:              The Power of Storytelling in Action: Practical Field Applications

Fee:                    $48 per credit*. 
*Please note: Conference fees are assessed separately by NSN.


Clock Hours
Clock hours are available at a rate of $5.00 registration fee + $2.50 per hour.
Approximately 35 hours will be available for clock hours throughout the conference*.
You may receive clock hours for attendance at pre-conference sessions, keynote presentations, workshops, performances and storyswaps.
*Please note: These clock hours are Washington State continuing education units of measurement.  You will need to verify with your employer as to whether they will accept WA state clock hours.


Registration for Credit or Clock Hours
Registration forms for credit or clock hours will be available on site at the conference. 
These will then be mailed with payment to Western Washington University after the conference.
