During the past seven years, the following speakers have spoken at Western.


University of British Columbia archival scholar and theorist Charles Dollar, speaking on the topic of reinventing and rediscovering records management in the digital information age.
 
Greg Koster, archival assistant for King County, on his travels through special collections libraries in Eastern Europe and Russia.
 
Former U.S. Archivist James Rhoads, who spoke about his 27 years of experience in the National Archives, his dealings with Nixon, and the controversy of the whereabouts of JFK's brain.
 
Assistant photo archivist for the Whatcom Museum and local history enthusiast Jeff Jewell, who presented a slide show on the history of the streetcar and trolley lines of Bellingham.
 
Tom Connors, from the National Public Broadcasting Archives, on archival appraisal and the moving image.
 
Steve Hensen of Duke University and Kris Kiesling of the University of Texas on archival description and standards.
 
Ann Morgan Campbell, first Executive Director of SAA spoke about the role of women in the archival profession.
 
Todd Welch from the Oregon Historical Society spoke about OHS's upcoming move to a new warehouse location and the logistics that were involved in planning the move.
 
Last winter, Candace Lein-Hayes from NARA Pacific Region (Seattle) discussed the different approaches that NARA is taking in regards to electronic records.
