PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE MUSEUM

The International Tsunami Museum
opened on December 21, 2006.

In the first 20 days of operation, over 3,000 people
from all over the world visited the museum.

Visitors view satellite images of Khao Lak
before and after the tsunami struck.

-

We invited children from the local village school in
Bang Niang to visit the museum.
The exhibits captivated the children.

-

The children were especially taken by the video
showing how earthquakes can create a tsunami
and the warning signs of a tsunami.
