If you have never encountered Scottish Country Dancing and have no idea what it is like, you may find yourself instinctively wary of it because it includes the words "Country" and "Dancing". Be not afraid! Scottish Country Dancing is neither frightening nor humiliating. Rather, it is fun and energetic, evokes frequent smiles, and is something you can do with as few as four people. Click here for a nice link that talks more about the basics of Scottish Country Dancing.
Western Washington University offers two Scottish Country Dancing classes through the Physical Education Department. They are P.E. 123 and P.E. 124. P.E. 123 is an introduction to Scottish Country Dancing, and it is intended for the beginning dancer who has little or no experience Scottish Country Dancing. Anyone can take the class, no dance experience is necessary, only a wiliness to learn.  The second P.E. class is Intermediate Scottish Country Dancing, and it is appropriate for anyone who has taken the beginning class, or who has already taken introductory Scottish Country Dancing courses.
