The Shannon Point Marine Center has both indoor and outdoor seawater facilities for holding marine organisms.

The outdoor seawater system contains ...gallon tanks in which the water level can be raised and lowered on a daily basis to simulate tides.

The indoor seawater facilities are located in the Sunquist Laboratory.
