Before CEOs clung to power.

Before presidents and kings fought wars for money and ideas.

Before religions and ideologies drew lines in the sand.

Before selfishness, before passion, before even love...

There were the Fae.

These immortal creatures brought life to this world. Dreams, nightmares, and passion... these things were the hidden treasures of the Fae before anyone else. These ethereal and precious creatures live on to this day, hiding in plain sight from the droll and the banal. Forgotten by the modern nights and yet near to humanity's heart, these immortal souls are rarer than diamonds but still closer to our everyday lives than we may think or hope.

The fragile Fae, however, have long been closed off to their original paradise - Arcadia. Neither wholly faerie or wholly mortal, their patchwork existence is crushed under humanity's disbelieving heel. The fae have been forgotten, favored only by those who would abandon science, reason, and banality in light of their mystery and passion.

The last of their kind on Earth, the changelings have built themselves an invisible kingdom. Protected by the Mists, they hide away behind a barrier of disbelief... but the sword of disbelief is double-edged. Banality itself wears away at the very fabric of the Dreaming - the birthplace of the Fae and the bawn of Arcadia.

You are a member of this ancient, mysterious race. Dramatic and whimsical, beautiful and terrible - nothing is beyond your grasp. Will you succumb to the steamroller of science and reason that stifles your existence, or will you stand your ground against a world of Banality and cultivate the Dream among the sleeping masses?

If you can dream it, you can be it.

If you can imagine it, it will happen.

Can you survive the tides of Banality that plague the world?

In Changeling: The Dreaming, you explore dreams themselves. If a Changeling can dream it, it exists - whether they like it or not. Some would say that Changeling has some of the most powerful themes of adventure. However, the Fae all realize that the Dreaming is dying as we speak. That which creates them is fading from existence, and there is only so much time before Glamour, the stuff that dreams are made of, is forgotten entirely. How will you experience the whole new world laid out before you? How will you deal with the fact that your very world is dying?

Go back...
(to a dull, banal world.)
