Estu 471 Overview
Students in the Campus Planning Studio
investigate the process underway for developing Western's plan
for future development to accommodate a student population of
12,500. Many choices face the University in meeting its growth
goals. A university community that is built upon the principles
of sustainable development maximizes its resources and preserves
the social and physical characteristics that are important to
Western's identity. This seminar is concerned about promoting a
greater awareness about the choices that face Western's future.
Students will work in small groups to
research issues related to Western's master plan, develop
proposals for campus development, and build upon the Campus
Planning Web Site.
