Goals of Presentations:
Clarify ideas and research plans by sharing them in a semi-formal manner with others.

  1. Receive feedback that may strengthen the final project early enough to incorporate it in useful ways.
  2. Share sources and resources with classmates.
  3. Practice "active listening" and "constructive feedback" skills when learning about the work of others.

General expectations for individual presentations:

  1. Have two or three points in mind (to share with others) regarding your project/paper.
  2. Acknowledge areas where you need help or are still looking for sources - others may be able to suggest just what you need to get started or move the project along.
