Goals of Presentations:
Clarify ideas and research plans by sharing them in a semi-formal manner with
others.
- Receive feedback that may strengthen the final project early enough to incorporate
it in useful ways.
- Share sources and resources with classmates.
- Practice "active listening" and "constructive feedback" skills when learning
about the work of others.
General expectations for individual presentations:
- Have two or three points in mind (to share with others) regarding your project/paper.
- Acknowledge areas where you need help or are still looking for sources -
others may be able to suggest just what you need to get started or move the
project along.
