Background Information

Tom Terich is a Professor at the Center for Geography and Environmental Social Sciences at Western Washington University. Dr. Terich received his doctorate in physical geography - coastal processes from Oregon State University. His master's is in geography from California State University and he received a B.A. in history from California State as well.

He teaches courses in physical geography, geomorphology, land resources management and land planning. His research interests include coastal processes and coastal zone management as well as natural hazards.
