What is
it?: Spawnfest is a fun mixed tournament
that happens every fall north of Seattle. We will also be once again teamed with the Emerald City Classic,
an INVITE ONLY elite men's and women's tournament that showcases THE BEST teams in the world. Information on ECC is forthcoming. You can contact Josh Monaghan about men's invites and Sara G-R about the women's invites.
But...What do I get for my entrance fee?:
You get sweet fields all in one place,
free beer at the party, dancing, free camping, salmon dinner on saturday night at the fields, showers,
lots of field food, a river for swimmin', and great Ultimate. The fields are plush, the beer is cold,
and the salmon is just perfect.
Where is
it?: The tourney is held in Burlington, WA, just an hour north of Seattle
and an hour and a half south of Vancouver, at Skagit River Park. These are the
same fields that host Gnarly Gnines, Emerald City Classic, and WA/BC Coed and College Sectionals.
These fields are very nice and all in one place, so you won’t have to travel. Map to fields.
Who can
play?: There’s
room for about twenty 20-24 mixed teams and in the neighborhood of 16-20 elite. Bids for mixed are given out on a first come
first served basis, except at the TD's discretion and historical attendance. Two-time defending champs, Back to School,
will return to defend their title.
When is
it?: The
tourney is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 23/24th.th, 2003.
How do I
get in?: When the time comes (June/July?)
