Setup: A car initially traveling at 85 km/s brakes to a halt in 9.30 sec.
Observations:
- The spacing between the dots occur at uniform time intervals. However, the distance between the dots is not uniform but get closer together as the car slows down. (If the car had been traveling at a constant speed the dot spacing would be equal.)
- The velocity vs. time graph is a straight line since the acceleration is constant. Its slope is equal to the car's acceleration and negative since the car is slowing down, v = a t +vo
- The position vs. tine graph is that of a parabola as it is all problems involving constant acceleration since
